You've been nervously waiting for a response from a hiring manager of an extremely reputable company, your dream company (for that matter ) after successfully moving forward to the second round of the interview process. Your hopes are extremely high and you dread checking your email.
You even put a hold on applying for other roles while you waited for this response. Then, a thought or rather a question crosses your mind. Job hunters, what do you do while you wait?
Don't put your life on hold while waiting for an unprecedented outcome. Here are a few tips to help you during the waiting game
Tip #1 - Do not overthink it
Do not fret over how you did in your interview. In her article, Adrianne Bibby says you can "reflect on your performance, but not to overthink it". This will help you figure out how to be better in your next interview.
Tip #2 - Practice Patience
Patience! Patience! Patience! You need to be extra patient. There are so many reasons why they haven't gotten back to you. It's the first few days of the new year. There are a lot of things to pick up from where they left off in December. Despite being told you're a viable candidate, there are still many other potential competitors. Or you probably didn't get the role. Everyone hates to hear this. But, it is what it is!

Tip #3 - Keep applying for more jobs
Continue applying. Do not put all your eggs in one basket, they say. Keep trying, if this isn't meant for you, well and good! There's something out there for everyone.
